When you receive your PIXIO, you MUST:
1. Read the User Manual (we made it light, it's easy!)
2. Upgrade to the latest firmware version IF IT IS NOT ALREADY IN YOUR PIXIO. Check the version on the flyer that is included in the box.
3. Install the camera controller file corresponding to your camera model IF IT IS NOT ALREADY IN YOUR PIXIO. The camera model installed in your PIXIO is mentioned on the flyer contained in the box (by default, the PIXIO robot is configured to work with a SONY CX450 camera). Refer to the User Manual if you need to change the file in order to control another camera model like the Sony AX43 or any other one.
If you ordered a PIXIO + CAMERA bundle, the PIXIO robot has been configured in the factory to work with the camera included in the bundle. You do not need to perform step 3 If you ordered one of the Live Coaching Packs, the PIXIO robot has already been updated with the latest software and configured to work with the camera sold in the pack. You do not need to perform steps 2 nor 3

Any camera up to about 2.5kg can be used on PIXIO because it has a standard 1/4’ screw.
But it’s much better to use one of the supported models for the automatic zoom and the remote control of the record from the watch, or from the free smartphone/tablet app. The list of supported models is updated regularly here, they are mainly Sony and Canon cameras.
A few models easy to find this year:
The CX450/CX455 is a ‘middle of the road’ model.
The CX625/CX675/PJ675 is also a 'middle of the road’ model, with an improved image quality and a better steadyshot.
People who want to do professional edits prefer the AX43. The AX43 is also better in low lights.
People who want to have a low cost model prefer the CX240 or CX405. Be careful that the CX240 and the CX405 battery cannot be replaced by a bigger one, it’s lifetime is about 1h30 to 2h00. And the CX240 and CX405 objectives do not have a thread so it’s not compatible with
Note that Panasonic, JVC, and some other camcorders don’t have any plug to control their zoom and their record. They can be used on PIXIO, but without the auto-zoom and without the remote control of the record.
DSLRs don’t have any plug to control their zoom, they are not supported by PIXIO but can be mounted on it.
Download the file corresponding to your camera model, for the zoom control and the record control. As explained in the User Manual, just put the file on a micro-SD card, insert the card in the robot, and switch ON the robot. Wait 10 to 15 seconds, remove the card, put it again in the computer, check that the file has disappeared from the card.

The JVC, Panasonic, Nikon, GoPro cameras don’t have any plug to control their zoom and their ‘record’. They will have only the automatic rotations. For some users it’s OK, but for others the auto-zoom and the remote control of the record from the watch, or from a smartphone, is interesting. For

If the technical department at MOVE ‘N SEE decides that the robot cameraman needs to be returned to them, you will be given a return code (RMA: Return Material Authorization).
You can then return the product along with the accessories in its original packaging. The return code must be clearly marked on the exterior of the packaging.

In all other cases, you will be sent a free quote for repairs. You will then have the choice:
- to refuse the quote, in which case the product will be returned to you at your own expense.
